Our chef uses mainly regional products for his creation. The natural landscape surrounding the hotel supplies ingredients that give our dishes a really fresh taste. Milk, cheese, meat, fruit, and vegetables are not purchased from big agro-businesses, but from local farmers, with whom we have had a long-standing trusting relationship. If you wish, you may visit their farms during your stay at Edelweiss & Gurgl. Your kids will be excited to visit the animals in the barn!
Once you know where the products come from, your taste buds will recognize how much fresher the meat, fish, eggs and dairy products taste. Our chef prepares all the regional products in such a sophisticated way that they can easily be called “haute cuisine.”

We know you will like our varied menu at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea time. Whether it be a schnitzel, a Tyrolean dumpling or a traditional apple strudel – we try to serve you a wide variety of Austrian dishes. We are also happy to prepare lighter delicacies with a low calorie count.
All dishes may be accompanied by a selection of Austrian and international wines. In keeping with the hotel’s philosophy, we not only feature renowned classics, but also introduce you to vintners whose varietals are real finds. After all, the hotel was founded by a pioneer and his descendents would like to blaze new trails in the culinary realm as well.
