The Edelweiss & Gurgl Hotel is located directly next to a few ski lifts. The term “ski-in, ski-out” was probably coined here.
The ski area in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl starts where lifts end in other parts of the world. The region prides itself on its “snow guarantee” from mid-November to early May. Almost all of the 110 km of pistes end right in front of the Edelweiss & Gurgl. Lift companies were rightly distinguished with the label “top quality skiing.” Even though the ski region uses ultramodern technology to provide its guests with a state-of-the-art infrastructure, the locals place a high value on preserving nature in its original state.

Top Mountain Star
You experience new heights on the last floor of “Top Mountain Star,” a futuristic panorama bar and viewing platform in the Wurmkogl skiing area at an altitude of 3,080 meters.
The new summit restaurant affords sweeping views of the Oetz Valley Alps. Even the silhouettes of the Dolomite Mountains can be seen to the South. The building echoes the surrounding mountain tops in its architecture. Guests can enjoy views of a stunning landscape at a breath-taking elevation and savor a wide variety of culinary delicacies.
